Manager / Sales Team Leader - Responsible to the Sales
Manager / Managing Director for ensuring the sales team
completed the day-to-day selling process with ease. This
entails resolving any issues that the sales team may have
with quotes, administration tasks and any technical queries
that may be associated with the service that a customer
requires, advising of potential solutions for the customer
needs. Implementing and adjusting in conjunction with the
accounts department routines and procedures for the sales
team to follow. Advising account managers on resolution of
issues within there portfolio of accounts. Responsible for
the implementation and maintenance of Contact Relationship
Management software ACT, ensuring that the sales team use
it correctly as a management tool for forecasting and
maintaining contact with there client base. The position
also entailed overseeing the day to day running of the
broadband and hosting sales team, including tracking of
orders and ensuring all order information was correct or
corrected if customers had given wrong information about
there requirement for ADSL services. Broadband and hosting
sales also gave individuals under my guidance, the
opportunity to deal with a wide range of queries from
customers requiring broadband and or hosting services. As
Office Manager I was responsible for the day to day running
of the main office, this included the overall facilities
management, dealing with personnel issues related to the
office.
2000 – 2004: NewNet plc – Responsible
to the Managing Director for telephone
and email support for NewNet customers, responsibilities
involved setting up accounts on UNIX servers and domain
registration with Nominet UK and Open SRS. Resolving issues
with dial up and hosting accounts using tools available and
own knowledge of the NewNet Servers and the Internet.
Promoted to Support manager within 7 months, responsible
for maintaining the running of the helpdesk and putting
procedures in place to ensure the customers received the
best possible support and advice. Support included support
of colocation, leased lines and ADSL products. I was
responsible for the implementation of a ticket system that
allowed full tracking of all helpdesk requests. As the
support manager, I was also responsible for dealing with
customer issues, ensuring they were handled in a
professional and timely manner, resulting in customer
satisfaction, and satisfactory to NewNet.
1998 – 1999 Work Placement – PC
Support/Helpdesk – Pall Europe Ltd
Support
for 600 users across 2 sites. Support included set up,
backup, upgrades and installation of desktop PC’s,
workstations and laptops with appropriate hardware and
software, ensuring proper connection to company network
internal and external, this also included configuration of
Lotus Notes connection settings in varying types of laptop
and desktop machines. Helpdesk support included solving
problems with network connection, SAP order entry, Lotus
Notes and occasionally MS office applications.
1994 –1996: Royal Navy Intelligence Analyst: Rank -
Lieutenant/Senior Line Manager
The collection, analysis and timely presentation of
intelligence to operational units and senior management,
derived from the study of geographical and political
backgrounds of countries in which operations were and
likely to take place. Diagnosing the intelligence
requirements for a new Joint Forces Intelligence cell to
ensure all operators received only the information they
require for their specific areas.

- 1994 Navigation /Operations Officer: Rank -
Lieutenant/Senior Line Manager
Organised
and led a team in a result-orientated environment, planned
and executed the navigation and safety of a warship. I was
responsible for control of the ship at sea and in harbour
for security and fire safety matters. Initiated training
for all personnel, planned and briefed personnel for
security patrols and situation updates in area of
operations. Conducted administration of 15 personnel
records and giving of annual assessments.
1992 - 1993 Officer training Britannia Royal Naval College,
Royal Naval Staff College Greenwich and The School of
Maritime Operations, Fareham.
Interests:
I have
an interest 3D graphical art of which I started at
university. I have my own website to display my digital
photographs and art (ChristopherWright.co.uk). I also
publish my 3D art to a popular 3D art web site
(renderosity.com). I have two 2 children that take up a
large amount of enjoyable time. I started winding surfing
in April 2005 of which I am now teaching my children. I
also find relaxation in painting futuristic miniature
soldiers from the Warhammer 40K series.
